This mission began several years ago in the Tabaré neighborhood of Durazno, Uruguay – a low-resource community facing economic challenges and poverty.

Our work centers on holistic social support, with a special focus on children and youth. Activities take place on vacant lots, in a community house, and occasionally on the streets.

A dedicated team of trained volunteers leads recreational programs, distributes food, and facilitates sports, artistic activities, and moments of reflection.

Resources come from collaborations with local bakeries, businesses, individual donors, and direct purchases of supplies.

Through years of consistent presence, we've earned respect and acceptance in the community. Parents now actively participate, help with tasks, and trust us to include their children in special events like camps, Children's Day celebrations, and Christmas activities.

We've also built positive relationships with the local municipality.

Humanity Nexus support will help us improve conditions and rent a permanent location where we can operate our Dining Room and offer activities indoors when the weather conditions are difficult.
